It was effective in keeping our shoes and furniture legs away however it could easily get caught on socks, cables, and rug. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. Still, with a decent price and a dazzling performance it's a Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for a smarter alternative to the traditional uprights.
